President-elect Donald Trump says he won’t direct his justice department to go after political enemies, but they’ll be able to do what they choose. Trump's potential pick to run the FBI,, was meeting with Senators at the Capitol to make his case about why he should run the agency.
“We will go out and find the conspirators not just in government, but in the media," Patel had previously said in a Dec. 2023 appearance on "Real America's Voice."In an interview with Meet the Press over the weekend, Trump said he wouldn’t direct his justice department to pursue his political enemies but did say members of the January 6th committee should be in jail.
"Are you going to direct the FBI director and your Attorney General to send them to jail?" she asked.
