Former President Donald Trump recalled his first day in the White House to podcast host Joe Rogan Friday, calling it a 'surreal' moment.
ADEL, IOWA - OCTOBER 16: Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump arrives for a campaign event at the Dallas County Fairgrounds on October 16, 2023 in Adel, Iowa.
Trump joined the "The Joe Rogan Experience" for a highly anticipated interview Friday. Rogan kicked off the three-hour-long episode by asking the former president to describe how he felt entering the White House in January 2017. "So, I'm driving down Pennsylvania Avenue ... you've never seen so many motorcycles, police, military ... and I wanted to go out and I wanted to wave to everybody, but that wasn't smart," he continued. "But I really felt -- I don't know, the love was so crazy."
"This is your first experience governing anything ... now all of the sudden, you're inside the White House," Rogan said.
