President Donald Trump on Sunday announced Mark Morgan as his choice to lead U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
When Morgan took office in October 2016, he became the first outsider to assume Border Patrol’s top job in the agency’s 92-year history. Morgan, who spent two decades in the FBI, was viewed as a reformer who would help fight corruption within the agency. However, he clashed with a union for Border Patrol agents during his short tenure at the agency.
