Trump confirmed Ohio senator Vance as his vice-presidential pick on his Truth Social platform
Trump arrived in Milwaukee for the convention on Sunday evening, just a day after a gunman opened fire at a campaign rally in Butler has been officially named as the Republican party’s presidential nominee as JD Vance was confirmed as his vice-presidential running mate.
The former president announced Ohio senator Vance as his vice-presidential pick on his Truth Social platform following reports that North Dakota governor Doug Burgum and Florida senator Marco Rubio had been told they were out of the race.
