President Donald Trump and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang reportedly met at the White House on Friday to discuss China ’s DeepSeek AI technology and what to do with regards to tightening chip exports moving forward.
A Nvidia spokesperson, meanwhile, stated, “We appreciated the opportunity to meet with President Trump and discuss semiconductors and AI policy. Jensen and the President discussed the importance of strengthening U.S. technology and AI leadership.” Others are concerned that the Chinese Communist Party may have caught up with the United States in artificial intelligence development.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has been trying to determine if DeepSeek has purchased Nvidia chips through middlemen in Singapore, Bloomberg News
