A federal appeals court has struck down Donald Trump’s latest attempt to keep eight years of corporate and personal tax returns from the Manhattan district attorney on Wednesday, setting the stage for yet more delays and another Supreme Court hearing over the dispute. The appeals court rejected Trump’s claims that the subpoena was an overly broad and politically motivated fishing expedition, tantamount political harassment by Democrat Cyrus Vance, the Manhattan district attorney. The judgment is the latest development in an ongoing legal saga between Trump and Vance, who first subpoenaed eight years of Trump’s tax returns in August 2019.
