The fight over access to President Donald Trump’s tax returns is expected to reach the Supreme Court on Thursday via one of two fast-track requests the president plans in a last-ditch bid to keep his financial records secret while simultaneously fighting Democrats over impeachment.

Chief Justice John Roberts could put a temporary hold on the appeals court’s ruling until the other justices decide how to handle the dispute.
