To help slow the spread of COVID-19, Trump just announced a ban on nearly all travel from Europe to the U.S. for at least 30 days.

U.S. citizens who are currently abroad will be allowed to return, but only after passing health screenings. And then that’s if they can even find flights home — with the travel ban in place, flights between Europe and the U.S. are likely to become nearly nonexistent.
“We are at a critical time in the fight against the virus,” Trump said in his address. “We made a lifesaving move with early action on China. Now we must take the same action with Europe. I will never hesitate to take any steps to protect the lives, health and safety of the American people. I will always put the wellbeing of America first.”
Trump claims that "early, intense action" is responsible for "fewer cases of the virus in the United States than Europe."
