At least two outside groups are planning to protest Former President Donald Trump 's address, set to take place in the early afternoonroad closures for this weekend's Lollapalooza music festival in ChicagoAccording to organizers, Trump will be at the five-day convention, which begins Wednesday at the Hilton Hotel, 720 S. Michigan Avenue, for a question and answer session moderated by three journalists.
Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party, was also invited to the convention, but was not able to attend, organizers said. According to NBC 5 Political Reporter Mary Ann Ahern, Harris has made efforts to schedule another meeting with the group. Former President Donald Trump, the current Republican presidential nominee, will visit Chicago on Wednesday and attend the National Association of Black Journalists Annual Convention & Career Fair, the NABJ announced late Monday.
