Trump pointed to his tech background and past service in the DOD as special assistant to the secretary of defense in a statement. In the role, Trump said Michael will “ensure that our Military has the most technologically sophisticated weapons in the World, while saving A LOT of money for our Taxpayers.”Trump selected Keith Bass as his assistant secretary of defense for health affairs, who will “ensure our Troops are healthy, and receiving the best Medical Care possible.”on Truth Social, Trump pointed to Bass’s extensive experience in healthcare, Navy background, and work with the medical departments of the DOD, CIA, and the White House.Joe Kasper will serve as chief of staff for the secretary of defense, Trump announced. In a statement, Trump listed Kasper’s past experience working in the DOD under his first administration, as well as his work in the Department of Homeland Security.
