Former President Donald Trump has dropped his defamation lawsuit against ABC News and anchor George Stephanopoulos. The lawsuit stemmed from an interview Stephanopoulos conducted with Rep. Nancy Mace where he asked her about Trump's legal battle with E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of rape. Trump alleged that Stephanopoulos's language in the interview was defamatory.

The lawsuit stems from an interview Stephanopoulos conducted with Representative Nancy Mace, a Republican from South Carolina, about another defamation case.
