Stepien, who was serving as the campaign’s deputy campaign manager, also worked on Trump’s 2016 campaign, and before that worked for the McCain and George W. Bush campaigns. Trump’s approval rating has taken a beating amid a resurgence of the coronavirus, and Parscale had become the focus of Trump’s ire in recent weeks after he boasted the campaign got a million ticket requests for a rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, when turnout was actually far lighter at just over 6,000.Wednesday, Trump’s approval rating dropped 6 points to 36%, while Biden’s lead over the president jumped to 15 points.
