Trump is eager to reopen the slumbering U.S. economy as unemployment numbers soar and businesses struggle to stay afloat. "The federal government has to be part of this approach," Cuomo said in his Friday coronavirus briefing. Cuomo was talking about his state's testing abilities, noting that officials did not have enough supplies to match the need for COVID-19 tests.
"How many times do you want me to say 'thank you'? But I'm saying thank you for doing your job. This was your role as president," he added later.
