President-elect Donald Trump supported his defense secretary pick, Pete Hegseth, Friday morning.

Trump backed Hegseth in a post he made on his social media platform.The incoming President's first public show of support for Hegseth comes as the nominee to lead the Defense Department raises questions over Hegseth's conduct.
Hegseth is facing allegations of excessive drinking, sexual assault, and questions about his treatment of women."He was a great student - Princeton/Harvard educated - with a Military state of mind. He will be a fantastic, high energy, Secretary of Defense Defense, one who leads with charisma and skill. Pete is a WINNER, and there is nothing that can be done to change that," Trump added.
Trump's post also comes after Hegseth met with GOP senators, proving he is fit to lead Trump's Pentagon.According to the Associated Press, Hegseth promised not to drink on the job and told lawmakers he never engaged in sexual misconduct."So we're going to earn those votes. We're fighting all the way through the tape.
