The coin is available for pre-order online, with buyers due to be shipped the item later in the year.
The coin is part of a series that"chronicles historic moments in the presidency of President Donald J. Trump," designed by Anthony Giannini, who is also board chairman of the White House Gift Shop.
Giannini, writing about the design of the coin, said:"When we heard the sad news of President Trump's positive COVID test, once again we had faith and prayed but we knew our President would find a way to Knockout COVID in early rounds of this battle. "President Trump, as you know, is a fan of boxing, and the new design includes more than a hint of superhero qualities in history's most fascinating president. President Trump, whether you are in his corner or not, is a sui generis, a one-of-a-kind, bigger than life, singular energetic force."
The White House Gift Shop originally had links to the administration, but has since been transferred to being run by a company owned by Giannini several years ago.Trump tested positive for COVID-19 last week and is being treated at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
