A top Trump pollster warned in a campaign memo of a 'Harris Honeymoon' in the Democratic Party over the next several weeks.
A memo was circulated to former President Donald Trump's campaign Tuesday that warned about an upcoming 'Harris Honeymoon' in polling in response to the vice president officially becoming the Democratic frontrunner in the 2024 race.Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio wrote in the memo obtained by Newsweek that he expects public polling to show Vice President Kamala Harris 'gaining on or evening leading President Trump' in polls over the next couple of weeks.
The cover will be largely positive and will certainly energize Democrats and some other parts of their coalition at least in the short term.'Fabrizio assured the campaign, however, that the 'fundamentals of the race stay the same' even if Harris starts to close the gap.'The Democrats deposing one Nominee for another does NOT change voters discontent over the economy, inflation, crime, the open border, housing costs not to mention concern over two foreign wars,' he wrote.
