President Trump says he doesn't intend to meet with Iran at the upcoming UN General Assembly, days after Iran denied involvement in an attack on Saudi oil facilities and the US announced new sanctions against the longtime US foe
Washington President Donald Trump said Sunday he does not intend to meet with Iran at the upcoming UN General Assembly, days after Iran denied involvement in an attack on Saudi oil facilities and the US announced new sanctions against the longtime US foe.
"Nothing's ever off the table completely, but I have no intention of meeting with Iran, and that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I'm a very flexible person," Trump told reporters at the White House. The United Nations' annual gathering of world leaders is taking place in the wake of the attack on Saudi oil facilities that Yemen-based Houthi rebels, locked in an ongoing war with Saudi Arabia and its allies for control of the country, say they carried out.
