Former President Donald Trump told Fox News on Monday the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics was a 'disgrace.'
Organizers of the Paris 2024 OlympicsSunday after an apparent reenactment of “The Last Supper” by drag performers drew international ire. During the ceremony, a group of performers dressed in drag appeared to invoke Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper,” a famous painting depicting a scene from the Gospel of John in which Jesus Christ announces one of his apostles will betray him.
"I thought that the opening ceremony was a disgrace, actually," Trump said. "I thought it was a disgrace." If elected in November, Trump would be nearing the end of his term in office as the United States hosts the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.Monday he is glad his performance upset some viewers.
