Former President Donald Trump hammered President Joe Biden and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) while in Michigan, dragging both for their immigration policies.
“She’s now pushing Michigan families to accept $500 a month to take illegal aliens into your homes. They won’t, they don’t say this for our veterans that are on the street. They don’t say this for other people, but they say it for migrants coming in because they want them to vote probably,” Trump said during a rally in Grand Rapids on Tuesday afternoon.that Whitmer’s Newcomer Rental Subsidy program would give landlords up to $500 per month for a year toward housing illegal immigrants.
Trump, the presumed 2024 Republican presidential nominee, declared that the Biden administration’s lax border policies were “wrecking our civilization” and “destroying our country.” Trump’s visit to Grand Rapids came 10 days after police arrested a previously deported Mexican man for the murder of Ruby Garcia.
Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, attacked Biden for bringing “the carnage and chaos and killing from all over the world” into the United States.“But not one more innocent life should be lost to Biden migrant crime,” Trump said.
