Tenney argues that, just as George Washington's birthday is recognized as a federal holiday, this bill would similarly acknowledge Trump as the founder of America's Golden Age.Currently, George Washington's birthday, originally February 22nd, is celebrated on the third Monday of February as Presidents' Day, honoring Washington and all past presidents. This date consolidation aimed to combine celebrations for Washington and Abraham Lincoln's birthday (February 12th), although Lincoln's birthday was never an official federal holiday.
