The Trump campaign and various Republican lawmakers have repeatedly put pressure on CBS News to release the full interview.
Former President Donald Trump’s campaign put renewed pressure on CBS News Monday by threatening a lawsuit to compel the release of its unedited interview with Vice President Kamala Harris.
Attorney Edward Paltzik, in a letter obtained by The National News Desk , now argues the public is entitled to see Harris’s entire uncut interview with “60 Minutes.” The executives and producers at CBS, and 60 Minutes in particular, are unquestionably aware that the purpose behind editing the Interview was to confuse the electorate and portray the Vice President in a better light than a full, unedited transcript would reveal,” he added.
The demand follows a Federal Communications Commission complaint by legal group Center for American Rights, which alleged last week CBS News engaged in “significant and substantial news alteration” when airing the Harris interview.
