Attorney Alina Habba has become a senior adviser for former President Donald Trump's new MAGA Inc. political action committee as she spearheads prominent legal squabbles for him in the courtroom.
Habba debuted her new role with an interview on Newsmax on Monday in which she defended the PAC's stewardship over its massive campaign cash stockpile. In addition to working for MAGA Inc., Habba is representing Trump in multiple high-stakes cases, such as the recent New York attorney general lawsuit and a defamation suit from a gossip columnist.“Alina Habba is an extremely talented individual who has become an important adviser to President Trump,” a MAGA Inc.
With the midterm elections in full swing, MAGA Inc. is unleashing a flurry of campaign ads buttressing candidates favored by Trump in battleground races across the country, including in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Habba has been a staunch defender of the former president. She represented him during the run-up to New York Attorney General Letitia James's whopping $250 million lawsuit against Trump alleging wide-ranging violations of financial laws.
Earlier this year, she famously clashed with James's office in court, and a judge held Trump in contempt of court and levied a $10,000-a-day fine in response for failing to comply with a subpoena. Trump has since paid the fine, and the contempt order was lifted.Echoing many of the former president's attack lines, she has bashed some of the investigations against Trump as a"witch hunt." Habba is also going to bat for Trump in columnist E.
Additionally, Habba has navigated a fraud case pertaining to his marketing of a venture featured on Celebrity Apprentice, according to Bloomberg.
