Senator Darline Graham has the president's 'Complete and Total Endorsement' for a full term.
by RAY LEWIS | The National News DeskSenator Darline Graham, the sister of the late South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham, took her brother's seat in the Capitol Tuesday for what was expected to be a temporary role.his office would likely continue the conservative policymaking the career senator showcased in his 23 years of work.
Darline, who has no legislative experience, may now have an edge over the Republican competitors should she campaign for a full six years. President Donald Trump announced Friday he has asked Darline to begin a bid for the Senate and keep the Graham name in the chamber.
The newcomer recently joined him in the Oval Office to talk about her congressional future, Trump said in a Truth Social "I hope Darline does this, in that there would be nobody better to honor the legacy of her beloved brother, Lindsey," the president wrote.
"Darline, who comes from an absolutely incredible family, has been a WINNER all of her life and, should she accept, has my Complete and Total Endorsement in the Special Election for U.S. Senate in South Carolina — SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN. RUN, DARLINE, RUN!
" The National News Desk requested comment from Darline but hasn't received a response.
