Con men usually do not give direct orders. They operate three different ways when they want you to do something. First, they have someone else give you direct orders - someone who will, possibly unwittingly, take the fall for them. Second, they are masters at manipulating language - so much that you receive a direct order couched in such terms that the gaslighter/con man can later deny they told you to do something. An example of this would be,"You and I go way back. It would be a shame if you weren't able to work here anymore." If the gaslighter is asked under oath,"Did you tell ______ to lie or imply that he should lie?" The gaslighter would answer no, and fully believe his answer.
Make no mistake - every individual involved with a con man is still 100% responsible for his own behavior. Trump didn't force Michael Cohen to do anything - Cohen did it willingly. Where does the con come in? Because gaslighters/con men look for someone who gives unwavering loyalty. Gaslighters demand loyalty. That loyalty is never reciprocal."Being around Mr. Trump was intoxicating.
