The Trump administration has shut down the CBP One app, which allowed nearly 1 million migrants to enter the US at legal border crossings during the Biden era. The app, introduced to create an orderly process for asylum seekers, allowed migrants to notify the US government of their intention to arrive at a port of entry and schedule appointments. Appointments were limited to 1,500 migrants per day, and over 904,500 people had successfully scheduled appointments and been admitted into the country since its launch in January 2023.

Border Patrol recorded nearly 47,000 migrant apprehensions. The top nationalities processed with appointments through the CBP One App are Venezuelans, Cubans, and Mexicans.Through the end of November 531,670 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans arrived lawfully and were granted parole under the parole processes.
