This week, our chef Trudie Jones from Stoke-on-Trent has sent us her delicious recipe. She's named it 'as it's an absolute money-saver in that it minimises food waste while creating an extra meal.
Trudie describes herself as"80-years-old and live in an independent living housing association with my 85-year-old husband". She goes on to say:"This meal is ideal with the odd bits and pieces left over in the fridge and makes a tasty and filling meal for a family, it's cheap and it goes a long way".
The beauty with Trudie's recipe is that you can adapt this pasta dish to suit whatever remaining ingredients you have left in your fridge or cupboard at the end of the week. From sausages and bacon, to chicken and broccoli or even ham, cream and mushrooms.
