The driver tried to hide damage to his truck, but cameras in both vehicles helped crack the case, prosecutors said.
Nyandwaro was driving north in Woolwich Township on June 22, 2025, when investigators said he rammed a tractor-trailer driven by Osman Aden, 40, of Minnesota. Aden was killed after the impact sent his truck into a concrete barrier and several trees, police said.
Witnesses said Nyandwaro repeatedly blocked Aden from passing him before the crash, according to prosecutors.after intentionally ramming Aden’s vehicle, police said. Witness accounts and dashboard camera video from the victim’s truck helped police identify the defendant’s vehicle, authorities said. The company that owns the truck Nyandwaro was driving turned over videos from the vehicle, which showed both the road ahead and the driver. Nyandwaro did not stop at the crash scene, then tried to conceal damage to his truck from the collision, investigators said. The prosecution also said Nyandwaro initially lied to his employer about the incident, claiming he was not involved in the wreck and that his truck was not damaged.on second-degree vehicular homicide, second-degree knowingly leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and fourth-degree tampering with evidence. Under terms of the plea deal, the prosecution agreed to recommend a six-year prison sentence.
