A truck driver remains in hospital after he was hit by a car in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the North-South motorway. 9News
The Urrbrae man had stopped his truck on the side of the road at Globe Derby Park to retrieve a toolbox lid that had fallen from his vehicle when he was struck by a Nissan Sedan.
It plunged peak hour traffic into chaos with police closing the road to northbound traffic for several hours as Major Crash officers investigated.The driver of the Nissan, an 18-year-old woman from Mitcham, was also taken to hospital for assessment.Continue reading
