The truck made its way along Interstate 35 before finally stopping in the 9600 block of Quintana Road.The migrants were left in the sweltering heat, leading to the tragic loss of 53 lives. Zamorano faces three charges: conspiracy to transport aliens resulting in death, causing serious bodily injury, and placing lives in jeopardy; transportation of aliens resulting in death; and transportation of aliens resulting in serious bodily injury and placing lives in jeopardy.The U.S. Attorney’s Office released a statement confirming Zamorano’s guilty plea. The case has shed light on the dangerous conditions faced by migrants attempting to enter the United States illegally, and the risks associated with human trafficking operations
