Troy traveled up to Memphis on Saturday for a matchup against the Memphis Tigers.
) - They were looking to bounce back after a tough loss to Nevada on opening weekend, but it just wasn’t their day as they fell to the Tigers 38-17.
The Trojan offense finally got rolling later in the second quarter when quarterback Goose Crowder pounded his way into the endzone from 11 yards out. It came at a cost, though, as Crowder exited the game after being hit when he dropped his shoulder to get into the endzone. Crowder would not return for the remainder of the game and was replaced by Matthew Caldwell.
