The Troy Animal Rescue Project director Tiffany Howington asked the public for help with temporary foster homes for the animals ahead of Hurricane Francine. Howington knows from experience how important it is to be prepared for weather, especially after a tornado hit a year and a half ago.
Troy Animal Rescue Project director Tiffany Howington went out on the limb to ask for help before the bad weather.TROY, Ala. - Before Francine made landfall on Thursday, people throughout the Wiregrass area were preparing, including the Troy Animal Rescue Project.
Tiffany knew the risk in our area was not as severe as others in the southeast, however, T.A.R.P. asked the public for help with temporary foster homes. “We started around 7 a.m. yesterday and the last person picked their dog up around 6 p.m. To see that many people love the animals and want to help them, it has been amazing,” Howington said.
