Tropical Storm Danielle formed Thursday in the Atlantic and is expected to become a hurricane in the next few days, according to the National Hurricane Center. It is currently not a threat to any land, the Associated Press reported.

This year is the first since 1942 that the Atlantic has gone from July 3 through the end of August with no named storm.One of which is hundreds of miles east of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean. There is also a disturbance off the west coast of Africa, near the Cabo Verde Islands. There is some chance this disturbance could become a short-lived tropical depression.
