The system in the middle of the Atlantic and is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm tonight.
Temperatures started off on the cooler side this morning - with many areas beginning the day in the mid-to-upper 50s! Sunshine has made a full appearance this morning however, so we are quickly warming up, Daytime highs are expected to warm up into the lower-to-mid 80s, right around average for mid-September. Rain chances remain at 0% for today.
Heading into this evening, temperatures will drop, but not as much as last night. Expecting many spots to see the lower-to-mid 60s to begin Thursday morning. Sunshine will continue to stick around in full force along the Gulf Coast. Making our way closer to the weekend, overnight lows will slowly creep back towards average, the humidity will build, and slight rain chances return. Although low for the weekend , we will continue to monitor. Sunshine comes back heading into next week.
Tracking the tropics, we now have Tropical Depression 7. This system is in the middle of the Atlantic and is expected to strengthen into a Tropical Storm tonight. The next name is Fiona. What is to be “Fiona” will not thrive after it treks west towards Puerto Rico. After that, it is expected to drastically weaken and dissipate.
