Filming on Tron: Ares has officially concluded following a location shoot in Vancouver for the past few months, according to a social media post by its director. The movie, which stars Jared Leto and Jeff Bridges, is the sequel to 2010's Tron: Legacy and sees Leto as Ares, a rogue program within the grid while Bridges reprises his role as Kevin Flynn.
Rønning took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the crew after what has been a lengthy and exhausting — not to mention frustrating — process, following a number of delays. The director, however, is thrilled that they've reached the finish line and confirmed he couldn't wait to show the world the magic they've created inside the Grid.
What is 'Tron's Legacy? Both films, but in particular, the original movie, Tron from 1982, are celebrated for their groundbreaking visual effects that set a new standard in the realm of digital filmmaking and have maintained a strong cult following.
