South Houston, Deer Park to vie for district’s final playoff berth

So, after two months and 13 district contests, the pursuit of the fourth and final ticket to the postseason has boiled down to South Houston opposing Deer Park in a 1 p.m. tipoff on Saturday back in the Mavs Gym. Pasadena was leading 35-34, but when Larry scored on a fastbreak layup, producing the sixth lead change of the period, the momentum had begun to turn for good in South Houston’s favor.
