Tributes to mum and son who were killed when lorry crashed into parked car
A probe has been launched but it is believed the Ford had broken down in a live lane.
Officers confirmed a voluntary referral has been made to the Independent Office of Police Complaints in relation to the collision. The force added: "A mum, and her little boy, who died in a collision on the A180, Immingham on Friday 10 March, have been named by their families. "Their families continue to be supported by specialist trained officers and partnering agencies and have asked for their privacy to be respected at this incredibly difficult time.
"The full circumstances of the collision will be established during this complex investigation, and we would ask for people not to speculate about the circumstances of the crash."Police have referred themselves to the police watchdog
