So sad, RIP Denis
Heartfelt tributes have been made for a compassionate and devoted father-of-three with a ‘cheeky smile’.
Denis’ daughter, Shannon Lord said: “My dad was very cheeky and he had a cheeky smile. He loved telling stories to his friends and having a laugh with them. “No matter what we did wrong he was always so forgiving and always there to offer help and advice. He gave me a special hug. He’d grab me tight and say this is all my love going into you and he would say that every time he hugged me.
Denis, who was originally from Blackthorn Lane in Bacup, moved to Stacksteads where he lived for the majority of his life. He worked in the care sector for 16 years and started his career at Heightside House in Rawtenstall where he worked for 12 years as a carer.
