Heartbroken friends of Evan Reid have paid tribute to the much-loved dad-of-one after a body was discovered in Paisley. The 31-year-old had been missing since March 25.

In a post on Facebook, family friend Kirsty McClunie, who was heavily involved in the search, said: “We are heartbroken. Evan, you were one in a million and will be missed by so many. Iain Cohen said: “You never think it will happen to one of your own. Rest easy pal, one of the most genuine nicest guys I’ve shared company with. Thinking of your own family and your wee family you created. My heart breaks for you.”
Penny Buchan added: “Devastating news and not one we’d been praying for. A lovely genuine guy, taken too soon, who will be missed by many. My heart and thoughts are with his family at this terrible time. RIP Evan.”
