Donnie McKinnon died from his injuries on Saturday afternoon after being shot at a bar alongside his pal Pete Jackson, who was taken to hospital.
Tributes have been paid to a “lovely” Scots man who died in a shooting at a bar on the Caribbean island of St Lucia which left another British man injured.
Mr McKinnon, 48, died while Mr Jackson, 72, from Lancashire, was taken to hospital. Police in Saint Lucia are treating the death as homicide and have launched an investigation. “We are all part of the Marcliffe family – staff past and present – and to lose Donnie in such a way has deeply saddened us all.
