Announcing the passing of a loved one in the local press is a long-standing tradition and we are proud of the trust placed in us to pay tribute to those who have died in this way. Every day the Manchester Evening News print edition carries tributes and funeral notices for those who have lost a loved one recently and our condolences go out to all.
It gives people a chance to celebrate the lives of loved ones and pay respects to the health and care teams who looked after them. The announcements also often share information regarding funerals, fundraising and flowers. Here is a selection of some of the notices published over the last week.It is with deep sadness that the family of Philip Joseph Waller, share the news of his peaceful passing on 7th September 2023.
Philip was a vibrant, driven man who established himself in business and travelled the world before settling in Manchester. Philip was a devoted husband, father and friend who was always the life and soul of the party. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Valerie, and their daughter, Victoria. Papa Philip will also be deeply missed by his grandson, Leo, who adored him.
