The capital murder trial of William Chase Johnson is scheduled for Oct. 7, 2024.
That trial will be held in Macon County after a judge granted aLowndes County Sheriff John “Big John” Williams was fatally shot on Nov. 23, 2019 at a gas station in Hayneville. Johnson, who was 18 at the time, was later taken into custody at that same QV gas station.
