Trial begins this week for neighbor accused of killing N.J. corrections officer in bloody family feud

William Durham Sr., 51, died after a feud between two families boiled over into a deadly confrontation caught on cellphone video, authorities said.

, aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the May 4, 2020, killing of William T. Durham Sr. in the Vineland neighborhood where they both lived.

Latham began taunting and mocking the Durhams in a series of social media posts on TikTok, the videos showed. Latham’s wife, Sarah, began recording, too, as a verbal dispute turned physical. Latham told Catherine Durham, “Get out of my face,” and swatted at her phone, making contact with the woman, according to prosecutors.William T. Durham Sr., a correctional officer at South Woods State Prison, was stabbed to death in a fight with a neighbor.

Words were exchanged and one of the Durhams’ sons was about to throw a punch, according to the video, when Latham swung at him with the knife. Durham dodged the blade.
