The milestone celebration will kick off at 9 a.m. with the festival and three races -- the Autumn Blaze 5K run, 5K walk and 1-mile walk.
Published: Aug. 15, 2024, 4:05 p.m.PARMA, Ohio -- Cuyahoga Community College is gearing up for the 10th annual Autumn Blaze 5K and festival, taking place Saturday, Sept. 14 at Tri-C ’s Western Campus.
The milestone celebration will kick off with three races at 9 a.m. -- the Autumn Blaze 5K run, 5K walk and 1-mile walk – which will wind through the Cuyahoga Community College Western Campus. The 5K race will be chip timed with awards given to the top three male and female runners and top three finishers in each age group, according to a news release.
Since its inception in 2015, the Autumn Blaze 5K has been part of Tri-C’s annual giving campaign. Proceeds from the event will benefit two nonprofit organizations: the United Negro College Fund and the United Way of Greater Cleveland. Last year’s race saw 120 runners compete, who raised more than $4,000.
The Autumn Blaze Festival will also begin at 9 a.m. and run through noon. This free-to-attend event features a variety of food and drink options and activities suitable for all ages.. Preregistration prices are $25 for community members and $20 for Tri-C students. Onsite registration will also be available beginning at 8 a.m. for $30 for community members and $25 for Tri-C students.
