for their new Future Stylist Fund, a scholarship that will grant $10,000 apiece to 10 Black female hairstylists who want to attend cosmetology school. TRESemmé is also hoping to mentor the 10 chosen hairstylists through experience and networking opportunities. The longtime sponsor of New York Fashion Week is hoping the new initiative will help diversify both the beauty and fashion industries.
On TRESemmé's website, the brand states:"TRESemmé knows that when women lead the way, everyone benefits. However, there are many systemic barriers that stand in the way of women advancing in their careers—especially for Black women. That’s why we’re taking action to advance the careers of Black women in cosmetology with this annual tuition fund."
