Hundreds of lawsuits were filed againstPlaintiffs previously alleged that Scott, Live Nation, and more than two dozen other defendants let too many people into the venue, despite being aware of the risks.Reports then surfaced earlier today that Scott could be facing charges, with Reuters stating that prosecutors were presenting evidence to grand jurors and asking them whether there is probable cause to support criminal charges.
The grand jury also reportedly decided not to indict others involved in the festival’s planning, including chief of security John Junnell and festival director Brett Silberstein. District Attorney Kim Ogg announced Thursday : ‘In this instance, the grand jury of the 228th District Court of Harris County found that no crime did occur, that no single individual was criminally responsible.
