A spokesperson for the council said: “Owing to a clerical error involving an external agency tasked with serving the notice that required the site to be vacated yesterday , a new notice was served this morning with a new deadline of 7:30pm today.Herts Police became aware of the set-up near Oxhey Jets Football Club on Friday .

“Officers from the Oxhey Safer Neighbourhood Team are continuing to monitor the situation while liaising with the landowner, Three Rivers District Council,” the force said earlier this week.
