But if you’re heading to Florida on vacation, you’d better be careful—it’s about to become a criminal offense. Starting July 1, a new law is going into effect that says you can be fined up to $114 for playing loud music in your car.
says that it is “unlawful for any person operating or occupying a motor vehicle on a street or highway to operate or amplify the sound produced by a radio, tape player or other mechanical soundmaking device or instrument from within the motor vehicle so that the sound is plainly audible at a distance of 25 feet or more from the motor vehicle.”A new Florida law prohibits playing loud music in your car.Things get even stricter near churches, schools or hospitals.
