“Initially, we had planned to leave for Thailand in December, but he told us that it was boring there around that time. Thabo Pinkoane, a Polokwane-based medical doctor, said there was no way they were going to travel abroad “even in the early days” of the virus outbreak. According to her, they had a civil chat and even “promised him that we would not look anywhere else but to him when things are back to normal”.
Pinkoane and Zulu said they acknowledge that sectors such tourism and travel agencies were hit hard by Covid-19.
