“We have some sidewalks that are leaning and sunken, and we don’t have a process to go back and do those repairs,” Gallegos said. “I wanted this $1.8 million to concentrate on neighborhoods that have gotten new curbs and new sidewalks and go back out to do minor repairs to make sure that those they will last for years to come.
