Transformers One has been reimagined in '80s VHS art with a nostalgic style reminiscent of G1, showing off a different interpretation of the prequel. Out of all the movies in the Transformers franchise, Transformers One is the first animated feature to be theatrically released since 1986's The Transformers: The Movie.

A stark change would be Transformers One's cast, which would no doubt include original voice actors Peter Cullen and Frank Welker as Optimus Prime and Megatron respectively. It also would have tied more heavily into the story of the original TV show, potentially showcasing humans like Sparkplug or Spike Witwicky .
